Outreach Ministry

What is Outreach Ministry?  Outreach ministry is a group of people at Zion who have committed thmeselves to make visits to people who are in need.  Visits are made to members and people who are not members.  We seek to bring the love of Jesus Christ to address the specific needs of people around us.

When do we meet?  We usually meet once a month, at noon on Mondays.  Call the church office, 249-9828, to learn when the next meeting is.

Who can be a part of this ministry?  The group welcomes all people who are interested in bringing the love of Jesus into people's lives.

Recent Outreach Results:
-  The Jan. Super Bowl of Giving raised $1,099 for ELCA's World Hunger fund.
-  Our Bake and Crafts Sale in Dec. raised $1,607 for the Amos Ministry.
-  The "First Fruits" food collection project has collected 630 items so far.  The 2007 goal is 2007 items.
-  The Zion Women's Organization has donated $50 ea. to Oaks Indian Mission and to Children of the Dump.
